Jasper was luck to have not one but two birthday jamborees. His cousins came up for Party, version 1. Then for the kids blowout, Jasper insisted upon a shark theme.

Jasper opens gifts from Uncle Chris, Seesa & the boys

Odessa is a such a good helper...whether Jasper wants it or not.

Wow...now there is a heartfelt look.

Gimme some sugar.

Seesa provided the cupcakes since they weren't able to make it for Jasper's big party.

Is there something on my face?

Jasper insisted on a shark party. Here are the tools to make the ultimate shark party cupcakes.

Seriously, someone should submit this team to Food Network.

Happy Birthday to Jasper!

I got all dressed up. Now where is MY cupcake?

When kids attack...

Last February (yes, a year ago…sigh) we got out of the outrageous snow that Winter 2010/2011 brought and kicked it in sunny Florida with Andy, Erin & CoCo. Needless to say, fun was had by all!

Yay! I love vacation!

Jasper's lagoon

Whoa...I need a hat in this place!

All this fun makes me sleepy. Oh, and that was a VIRGIN drink Cassidy has!

Hi Dad!

Jasper's lion & CoCo's monkey spend a little quality time.

Yay! I love vacation!

Heading out to dinner with sissy.

Silly babies

It was a rough winter (and spring for that matter) so to keep our lil guy officially occupied, Mike put together as many entertaining projects as possible. From space shuttles to motorcycles, dump trucks to monsters, here are a few of the highlights!

First up, the motorcycle!

See ya at Sturgis!

Odessa fine tunes the engine on the new pick-up truck.

Seriously, am I going to have to do this myself??

J
asper does a little decorating.  You know, keep it home-y.

Thanks to our friends Katie & Andy, Jasper got this amazing book of paper monsters.  He was obsessed for a couple months and they made a ton (actually Mike made a ton.  Jasper played with a ton and got glue stick all over the place but hey, fun was had by all).

Monster Monkey Man

As with EVERY holiday, Valentines means yet another excuse for some mother-son baking. And this year we went all out with some cute heart cutters, fancy frosting and plenty of a fat little baby sampling our work as we went along.

Jasper plots his next broken heart.

Delicious love.

Seriously people.  Where are my cookies?  I’m not messing around here.

Maybe we should just turn this into a food blog?!

Happy Valentine’s Daddy!  We love you!

Lightning McQueen and chocolate.  Jasper’s two favorite things.

Jasper received one of the greatest presents of all time (at least for him it was) this Christmas from Grandma and Papa. And what made it even better is that it languished at Seesa’s for a good month or two before we actually brought it home and set it up. It was a big, giant pirate ship. You wouldn’t believe the adventures and fun that was had in that ship, both by our mighty Captain Jasper and his first mate, Buttercup. About a month ago we finally had to let the ship go (it was in shambles) and to make sure Jasper wasn’t too sad about it, we let him and his buddy Devin rip it to shreds. Nothing takes a little boy’s mind off loss like a healthy dose of destruction.

The mighty vessel.

Checking for sharks.

That Captain is hilarious.

Things have finally calmed down a bit so I’ve started playing catch up with blog entries.  I’m not even going to say when I hope to have everything updated because as many of you know, that hasn’t always worked quite so well BUT rest assured there will at least be some fun new posts in the next couple of days.  I must say it has been fun to work on these because you just can’t believe how much little Odessa has grown up!  It’s pretty much amazing.

Now onto the photos!

Here is Miss Odessa in her early “cruising” days.

Nothing says love like a big-headed boy and his peanut baby sister wrestlin on the couch.

Okay, maybe I do like her.  Maybe we can keep her.

YAY!!!!!!!! He likes me.  He really likes me!

You wanna see a pout?  I’ll show you a pout.

Future Mensa.

Future Not Mensa.

I can hardly keep up with anything these days so it was lovely to have a day when I could do nothing but enjoy the fact that I am a mother and my children are wonderful beyond belief. There are a million hilarious photos but I’m just posting a few so you all can enjoy and I can actually go to bed!

I can do it myself!

Fine, you wanna dance? I’ll show you how to dance!

Mommy & her beautiful boy

If you eat the corn, you can totally look at my teeth with a flashlight. Whatever works buddy.

Mommy and her beautiful (and very wiggly) baby girl

And finally, after quite a few attempts, we get a group shot. Not everyone would wear clothing by hey, at least Mom has her dress on.

We have a brand new blog format which I am still getting used to but the BEST part is that I can post a whole ton of photos for you all to explore at your leisure. And let’s face it, at this point I am almost three months behind in my updates so I think it’s safe to say that everyone is okay with more babies, less captions. Without further ado – Christmas in CT (with a late Brooklyn entry thanks to a whole load of snow!).

Just a few funny photos before the onslaught of Christmas photos that you have all so patiently been waiting for!

Extreme Odessa Close-Up!

Jasper got a Lego advent calendar which was pretty awesome. We’re not quite sure WHY he got a Santa with a thong (a shower came with this as well too so…yeah…)

Say Cheese!

Bath time for the babies!

For centuries, families have been joining together to journey into the woods to cut down the perfect Christmas tree to celebrate the holidays. Who are we to question such a time-honored tradition? Except for the fact that our woods is actually the bodega around the corner and by cutting down, we mean that we pick one that has already been chopped and have the local kid working there trim off the trunk a bit so it has optimum water-soaking ability. Nonetheless, it is super fun and as you can imagine, Jasper was a whole new level of pumped this year – especially after meeting Santa in Kentucky.

In search of the perfect tree…

I FOUND IT! I FOUND IT!

So manly! I’ll have you know he walked a whole quarter of a block like that.

Before I could even get the tree skirt on, Jasper was hanging ornaments.

A ROBOT!
img_2101.jpg

Rest assured, there was a LOT of Christmas music playing during all of this. Jasper was in heaven.
img_2138.jpg

I have no idea what is going on. I just woke up and it is CHAOS in here. Between these two…jeesh…
img_2156.jpg

And finally, the star!
img_2174.jpg

Clearly the only way to celebrate is with Christmas cupcakes (?!). (Jasper wasn’t in the mood for cookies. He loves frosting. Wonder where he gets that…)
